Job Title: QA Manager
We are seeking an experienced QA Manager to join our client, a leading national company in the manufacturing of bread and bakery products, in Wexford. This is a full-time, permanent position offering an excellent opportunity for career advancement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain Quality Food Safety systems on site, including HACCP, Plant Hygiene, GMP, Pest Control, Internal Audits, and Customer Complaints.
* Ensure the quality of products meets agreed specifications consistently.
* Lead a culture of continuous improvement by working closely with site Management and Team Leaders.
* Train all staff on site on food safety and quality procedures.
* Manage audits, including 3rd Party, customer, regulatory, and internal audits.
* Oversee the management of the site hygiene department and contract cleaning.
* Implement corrective and preventative actions as required.
* Maintain company policy and operational standards.
* Identify and action cost reductions.
Requirements:
* A degree in a relevant field (e.g., Food Science, Chemistry).
* 3-5 years' experience in a Food Safety/Quality Assurance role.
* Auditing experience, including internal, customer, regulatory, and 3rd Party audits.
* People management experience.
* Flexibility and problem-solving abilities.
* Strong communication skills.
* Computer literacy.
