My client has an urgent requirement for a Senior Manager, Indirect Tax to join their team. Super opportunity for the right candidate!
The Role:
The Senior Manager, Indirect Taxes, serves as part of the Global Tax function, supporting European entities on Indirect Tax matters. The position will build strong relationships with fellow tax colleagues, the wider finance organization and the European Supply Chain function.
RESPONSIBILITIES
·Management of VAT compliance process for our European affiliates including review of computations, management of 3rd party service providers and liasing with Business Services.
·Identify, monitor and analyse new legislative rules including working with the wider business to communicate changes to ensure the Company remains in compliance with tax rate changes, e-invoicing requirements, new registrations, etc.
·Assist with the resolution of tax audits or voluntary disclosures including collating and coordinating tax advice from external advisors, quantifying the incremental costs of tax reassessments, and drafting communications to the tax authorities.
·Providing Indirect Tax support to the business on a variety of business and tax-driven projects.
·Plan, develop, implement, and document indirect tax processes to support the business.
·Ensuring Indirect Tax queries from internal or external stakeholders are responded to in a timely manner.
·Ability to problem solve and present solutions to management in a clear and understandable manner.
·Ability to work collaboratively across the finance organization, with external advisors and auditors.
·Ability to manage and mentor junior team members, including one direct report.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
LEVEL OF EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/YEARS EXPERIENCE
·Qualified Chartered Tax Advisor (AITI CTA) and or Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in an Indirect Tax role.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
·Strong knowledge of international indirect tax landscape.
·Ability to both interpret and write technical memos and prepare clear and persuasive presentations for both tax professionals and business executives.
ENABLING COMPETENCIES
·Ability to work on own intitiative with strong attention to detail.
·Excellent interpersonal skills, strong commerical acumen and a team player.
·Experience thriving in a fast-paced, highly demanding work environment with multiple evolving priorities.
