Position: Sustainable Engineer
We’re looking for a Sustainable Engineer who is passionate about delivering impactful solutions in a collaborative environment. If you’re proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to sustainability, we would be delighted to hear from you.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
* A Degree in Building Services, Mechanical/Electrical Services Engineering, or an equivalent field.
* A relevant background in construction, environmental science, or engineering with a proven focus on sustainability (preferred).
* At least 2 years of experience as a sustainability or energy consultant or in a related role.
* Skills in Building Services design across Mechanical, Electrical, and Sustainable disciplines.
* Ideally have proficiency in Autodesk products such as AutoCAD & Revit.
* Hands-on experience with IESVE programs (VE SBEM, Apache Sim, Radiance, MacroFlo, CIBSE Loads).
* A good understanding of sustainable design principles.
* Excellent organisational, time management, and communication skills.
* Strong report-writing and project management abilities.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Conducting concept and scheme design studies and preparing comprehensive reports for sustainable modelling services.
* Creating Sustainable Design Reports and collaborating with design teams to meet project goals.
* Performing thermal comfort studies (TM52, TM59, EN ISO 7730) using MacroFlo.
* Applying your knowledge of Irish Building Regulations and BER requirements (preferred).
* Carrying out energy performance analysis for Part L compliance and BER certification using VE Compliance.
* Conducting thermal load calculations to CIBSE standards and daylight analysis for planning applications with Radiance.
* Delivering high-quality projects within specified timelines.
