This stylish hotel in Co Meath, featuring recently refurbished bedrooms, is a particular wedding favourite. We seek a Deputy Hotel Manager to ensure the smooth daily operations of the hotel, with a focus on the Bar and Club.
Key Responsibilities
* Promote excellent customer care at all times.
* Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and grooming.
* Attend weekly departmental meetings and follow up on outstanding issues.
* Conduct regular floor walks to ensure quality standards are maintained.
* EFFECTIVELY COMMUNICATE WITH MANAGERS, SUPERVISORS, AND SENIOR STAFF DAILY.
* Manage the Porter department, provide training to improve standards when needed.
* Oversee the Accommodation department, conducting daily room inspections.
* OVERSEE FLOAT MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS AND ENSURE PROCEDURES ARE FOLLOWED.
* Focus on daily occupancy figures, VIPs, groups, no-shows, conferences, banqueting events, restaurant bookings, bar numbers, and financial performance.
* CONDUCT WEEKLY ROOM SPOT CHECKS.
* CARRY OUT REASONABLE REQUESTS BY SENIOR MANAGEMENT.
* APPROVE DEPARTMENTAL ROSTERS.
* MAINTAIN A VISIBLE FLOOR PRESENCE DURING BUSY PERIODS.
* OVERSEE THE RUNNING OF ALL FUNCTIONS, PARTICULARLY WEDDINGS AND VIP EVENTS.
* ASSIST WITH WEDDING SHOW ROUNDS AND PROVIDE COVERAGE FOR C&B DEPARTMENT AS REQUIRED.
* RESOLVE GUEST COMPLAINTS OR QUERIES THAT CANNOT BE RESOLVED AT DEPARTMENTAL LEVEL.
* RESPOND TO EMERGENCY SITUATIONS IN AN EFFICIENT AND PROFESSIONAL MANNER.
* SERVE AS HOTEL'S HEALTH & SAFETY OFFICER.
Requirements
* A minimum of three years' experience in a senior hotel operations role.
* Total hotel expertise, with experience across various departments, particularly the Bar.
* Proven team leadership skills, with excellent communication and motivational abilities.
* EXEMPLARY SERVICE STANDARDS AND A GENUINE GUEST-FOCUSED APPROACH.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Keen financial acumen.
* Familiarity with various hotel systems/PMS.
* Positive leadership skills.
* A genuine love of hospitality.
