My client, a leading distributor based in North Wicklow, is seeking an experienced Supply Chain & Stock Coordinator to join their growing Operations Team. With a projected growth rate of 10% year on year, the company is expanding rapidly.
This role will oversee transportation and distribution operations, ensuring timely, cost-effective deliveries while maintaining regulatory compliance. The role offers ample opportunities for training and development, with a supportive team to help you succeed and grow within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee relationships with warehouses in Ireland, the Netherlands, and the UK to ensure efficient order processing and timely shipments.
2. Collaborate with customer service for accurate delivery estimates and smooth order fulfilment.
3. Enforce SLAs, conduct stock reconciliations, and monitor inventory audits to meet company goals.
4. Oversee transport costs, implement cost-saving strategies, and ensure service quality.
5. Manage haulage providers, ensuring SLAs are met and monitor performance.
6. Ensure compliance with hazardous product transportation, handling, and storage regulations.
7. Process transport documentation (invoices, CoAs) and ensure Safety Data Sheets comply with regulations.
8. Build strong relationships with service providers to improve service levels and cost control.
Ideal Candidate:
1. Ideally 2-3 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, transport, and warehouse operations, ideally within distribution.
2. In-depth knowledge of product handling and regulatory compliance in logistics.
3. Expertise in stock management, stock reconciliation, and cost control.
4. Proven experience in negotiating and implementing Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
5. Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
6. Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities effectively.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with Sage or similar systems is a plus.
