Morgan McKinley's client, one of Ireland's leading insurance companies, provides a wide range of general insurance and life insurance products and services to its customers.
The company has over 1,000 employees across its locations in Dublin and is seeking a highly skilled Broker Consultant to join their team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for working closely with financial brokers to deliver superior service to their clients.
Key responsibilities include:
* Understanding the needs of a panel of financial brokers and their clients and helping to fulfill those needs using the company's products.
* Working to exceed targets by building and growing profitable relationships with the company's financial broker network.
* Identifying how the company's technical expertise can be properly focused and delivered to the financial broker network.
* Being a business partner to the financial broker and delivering help needed for the financial broker to expand and be more efficient in running their own business.
* Creating, developing and managing relationships with a panel of financial brokers to promote the company and drive sales.
* Understanding the market place and industry developments when dealing with distributors.
* Improving and updating product and market knowledge and applying knowledge appropriately.
* Managing own priorities and making effective use of resources available.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Strong technical knowledge of life, investment and pension products.
* Strong academic qualifications, minimum QFA qualified, together with a commitment to attain relevant technical insurance qualifications.
* Excellent understanding of the intermediary marketplace, competitors, as well as intermediary business models.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt style to the individual needs of intermediaries and able to network and successfully build relationships.
* Ability to engage on an individual and/or group basis through high degree of presentation skills with an ability to make a positive impact and build rapport with others.
* Self-motivated, goal-orientated, and resilient.
* Ability to achieve qualitative and quantitative individual targets under set business targets.
* Effective personal organizational/business planning skills.
* Proven ability to think creatively and to innovate.
* Problem-solving, decision-making, and judgment.
