Duties
1. Configuration, implementation and support of a Clinical Management System
2. Configuration, implementation and support of Clinical and Business Applications across the Service
3. Technical assessment of software functionality and Patch release
4. QA, validation and testing on all software changes, updates/releases
5. Technical input on Change Board and other Informatics as required
6. Participation on the ICT helpdesk
7. Liaising with external vendors and service providers
8. Other duties as may be deemed appropriate by management
9. Ensure the efficient day-to-day administration of area of responsibility
Customer Service
1. Promote and maintain a customer-focused environment by ensuring service users/customers are treated with dignity and respect
2. Seek feedback from service users/customers and implement change to incorporate same, in agreement with Line Manager
Service Delivery and Improvement
1. Ensure accurate attention to detail in own work
2. Actively participate in innovation and support change and improvement initiatives within the service; adapt local work practices ensuring team knows how to action changes
Standards, Policies, Procedures & Legislation
1. Maintain own knowledge of relevant company policies, procedures, guidelines and practices to perform the role effectively and to ensure current work standards are met by own team
2. Maintain own knowledge of relevant regulations and legislation e.g., Financial Regulations, Health & Safety Legislation, Employment Legislation, FOI Acts, GDPR
3. Have a working knowledge of the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) Standards as they apply to the role for example, Standards for Healthcare, National Standards for the Prevention and Control of Healthcare Associated Infections, Hygiene Standards etc. and comply with associated company protocols for implementing and maintaining these standards as appropriate to the role
4. Support, promote and actively participate in sustainable energy, water and waste initiatives to create a more sustainable, low carbon and efficient health service
