However, we do this differently, instead of using conventional crewed survey ships, we have developed a marine robotic system known as an Uncrewed Surface Vessel (USV).
Overview Responsible for the successful global execution of assigned short-term projects.
The operational project manager role involves oversight of assigned projects from commercial handover through to final project close out.
XOCEAN project managers are the central focus point for the control of all aspects of the project lifecycle.
Please note that this is not an IT project management role and will not suit candidates with pure IT project management backgrounds.
Main Duties & Responsibilities Responsibilities will include: Supporting Operations Managers in the planning and execution of all USV work, providing project assistance in, but not limited to, the following activities: Liaising with internal and external project stakeholders on all aspects of project planning and execution.
Developing project plans and budgets.
Resource planning.
Overseeing the daily activities of the project.
Maintaining project records and paperwork.
Sourcing external contractors as required by the project.
Ensuring adherence to XOCEANs health and safety standards / objectives.
Project Logistics and Coordination.
Meeting project budgets, assessing the financial and operational risks for potential projects and providing feedback to the sales team / risk escalation.
Providing daily operational updates.
Reporting on project performance against both financial and non-financial project objectives.
Project Cost Management.
Ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
Managing relationships with key vendors.
Requirements: Essential Skills / Attributes and Experience The successful candidate will have a proven record of managing projects with strong client relationship and interpersonal skills.
Bachelors Degree or Equivalent.
Fluent business English.
Minimum 3 years in a Project Management or Operations Management position where execution at pace was required.
Translates development goals into actionable plans.
Makes timely, confident decisions.
Results orientated, proactive and reactive.
Numerical aptitude with ability to understand commercial impact of decisions.
Enthusiastic, positive, and proactive nature with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentational, problem solving and team working skills.
