Your new company is working with a leading engineering firm to appoint an Accounts Technician/Assistant on a permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
* Preparing and submitting VAT returns ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
* Preparing month-end financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
* Assisting with tax compliance, including preparing tax returns, calculating tax liabilities, and liaising with tax authorities as required.
* Communicating with clients on a regular basis to provide updates on their financial status and answer any questions they may have.
* Weekly processing of Payroll.
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of CIS/RCT.
* Maintenance of inventory & financial reporting.
About You
* You will be qualified through IATI or hold an Accounting Higher Level qualification or have 5 years of experience.
* You will have 3 years of experience in a similar accounts position.
* Aptitude in Invoicing tasks is essential.
* Strong Communication skills both verbal and written are necessary.
* You must have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
* Experience with accounting software and tools is desirable.
* Prior experience in a mechanical engineering environment is advantageous.
* Relevant certifications or a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field are beneficial.
