Purpose of the role
Within guidelines given by the Portfolio Manager maximize price and execution time or maximize executed volume given price in line with all relevant internal policies and regulatory framework.
Add value to the investment process finding liquidity while carrying out effective price discovery. Articulate views, opinions and market color succinctly to our global network of PMs.
What you will be responsible for
1. 5+ years of relevant experience trading and executing in FX markets G10 & EM both cash and derivative (spots, forwards/ swaps, NDFs & options).
2. Good knowledge and understanding of the fundamental aspects of the FX markets.
3. Ensure that execution is performed with accuracy and effectively in terms of price and timing, ensuring that it is in line with the trading instructions received by the portfolio manager. Pre and post trade venue and broker analysis.
4. Establish and manage counterparty relationships.
5. Proactively action ad-hoc queries in a timely manner, ensuring that all business relationships are operating efficiently.
6. Liaise with Middle/Back office to ensure correct settlement of all orders executed.
7. Develop and maintain risk control.
8. Perform activity in line with all internal policies and any relevant regulatory framework.
9. Ensure prompt escalation to the Head of Desk for any issues that require managerial oversight.
10. Act with integrity, diligence and be a team player. Analyze new products to assess their financial risk profile and Treasury requirements.
11. Keep up-to-date with market structure evolution and best practices.
12. Liaise with internal business analysts and external vendors in order to develop tools and improve the desk efficiency and trading capabilities.
