About Your New Job
You will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to US GAAP. This includes:
* Reconciliation of accounts
* Compliance with local EU regulations
You will also record and analyze day-to-day financial transactions, including sales, purchases, expenses, and intercompany transactions. Additionally, you will manage VAT and corporate tax filings in accordance with local EU tax laws.
Your responsibilities will include overseeing the accounts payable and receivable processes, including vendor management, invoice processing, and collection of outstanding payments. You will also implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy of financial data.
Collaboration with the US accounting team is essential to ensure seamless integration of European financial data. You will analyze financial performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks. Staying updated on relevant EU accounting standards (e.g., IFRS) and ensuring compliance with local regulations are key aspects of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Daily maintenance of the Finance system, Acumatica
* Purchase ledger functions, supported by a transactional Assistant
* Sales ledger functions, associated systems, and bank reconciliations
* Liaising with customers and suppliers as necessary
Requirements
This role requires a qualified Accountant with at least 4 years of experience at Manager/Controller level. Management of multiple European entities and international finance experience are essential. Coming from a start-up environment where you build finance would be an advantage. Strong US GAAP/IFRS knowledge is also required.
