The Role: This role is a full-time permanent position (after probation period), 37.5 hours a week.
This role is a customer-facing high-end jewellery sales position including the sale of diamond engagement and wedding rings and all fine jewellery.
This role requires a keen knowledge of diamonds, precious metals and gemstones, and a keen eye for detail and visual merchandising is required.
Maintaining customer relations and client outreach is very important.
We place a lot of importance on our online presence and so the role may include some website maintenance and creative content production as well as picking, packing and shipping our online orders.
Key Responsibilities: Greeting customers & providing a personal shopping experience.
Providing your expertise in jewellery, precious metals, diamonds and gemstones.
Building & developing relationships with customers, giving them a luxury sales experience.
Facilitating in-store engagement ring & wedding ring appointments Visual Merchandising - maintaining our displays with attention to detail, ensuring our jewellery is beautifully presented at all times & replenishing stock.
Operating EPOS till system and handling cash.
Maintain a clean and tidy store - light cleaning required.
Assessing jewellery repairs.
Gift packaging, restocking boxes & bags - light lifting required Admin duties including answering emails, Whats Apps & social media messages & running errands when required.
General upkeep of stock and responsible for the security of stock.
Handling high-value merchandise.
Daily website maintenance use of Shopify & Pursuit an advantage.
Picking, packing and shipping our online orders.
General assistance to sales team & reporting to the store manager.
This role requires you to work 5 over 7 days some weekend work is necessary.
Our trading hours include Monday - Saturday 10-6pm and 12-5pm on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
Overtime is available during the Christmas season (but is not compulsory), overtime will be paid for any such work.
The Ideal Candidate: Confident, friendly and upbeat personality Must be able to converse confidently with customers.
Works well as part of a team.
Uses initiative.
Confidence to negotiate and close high-end sales.
Organised with a good memory - have the initiative to learn and memorise large amounts of stock.
Have excellent computer skills & be confident with taking on any computer tasks that are given.
Individual must be neatly & professionally presented in formal business attire with keen attention given to personal grooming.
A keen eye for detail - in terms of shop cleanliness, visual merchandising and recognising the finer details of jewellery.
Have excellent written and spoken English.
Innovative thinker - a creative problem solver.
A passion for providing great customer service and building a career as a jeweller.
Has experience with content creating for social media platforms such as Instagram & TikTok or open to learning.
Works well under pressure.
Able to work in a quiet retail environment.
If you feel you have transferrable skills not necessarily in the jewellery trade please outline them to us in your cover letter.
Experience is preferred although we are open to training the right candidate.
If you have no jewellery experience but would like to apply for this role please be aware that this is not a standard retail position and will require a lengthy training period.
