Overview
Reporting directly to the CIO, the role of Sustainability Programme Manager is pivotal in delivering our Sustainability Strategy by leading a wide range of sustainability projects related to logistics, tranport wasrehousing, supply chain and developing and implementing customer sustainability toolsThe successful candidate will act as the interlock between heads of departments on sustainability, leading impactful projects, You will be an ambassador of sustainability, championing sustainability to both internal and external audiences.
Qualifications
Strong background in sustainability,corporate responsibility or environmentRelevant third level qualification (Environmental science, engineering, sustainability)Practical experience managing ESG programmes in businessExcellent organisational and document control skillsSelf-motivated with the ability to work on own initiativeAwareness of carbon reporting and accounting, good understanding of GLEC frameworkExperience working on sustainability, community based projects, environmental management or social development workStrong negotiation and communication skills to work with a wide array of stakeholdersImpactful communicator, with experience in presenting and communicating technical data in an informative and influential manner to non-technical audiences
Responsibilities
Work with a wide range of stakeholders to develop and implement Sustainability StrategyPlan, budget, execute and communicate on a wide range of Sustainability projectsEngage with key customers to support their needs e.g. carbon reportingIdentify and propose interventions which improve the performance of Sustainability Strategy, identifying and sharing best practice between a wide range of internal stakeholders across multiple locationsReviewing Sustainability-related data, ensuring the availability and collection of high-quality data to underpin monitoring and reportingProvide performance updates on all projectsSupport engagement with local, regional and national stakeholders on Sustainability issues
