We partner with promising SMEs across all sectors and deal stages. Each year we typically review over 3,000 business plans and are currently supporting more than 250 SMEs. We opened our Dublin office in 2022 and have raised c. €85m to invest in established businesses across the Island of Ireland, particularly those committed to improving their sustainability performance.Job roleThe Associate will play an integral role in sourcing, executing and managing Foresight’s private equity investments and will gain hands-on experience in all aspects of the deal lifecycle. This position offers exposure to a wide variety of deals across Ireland and the UK, providing a unique opportunity to work closely with experienced private equity professionals and make a meaningful impact from day one.The role is based in Dublin, Ireland, and all applicants should have relevant permissions to work in Ireland.ResponsibilitiesOrigination: Sourcing of new investments by identifying investment themes and other strategic initiatives; carrying out market, industry and company research to identify investment opportunities; and analysing and appraising qualified opportunities by reviewing diligence information and meeting with management teams.Investment: Completing new investments in a supporting role by coordinating due diligence efforts, including financial, legal, and commercial reviews; and preparing investment memorandums and presentations for Foresight’s investment committee.Portfolio management: Support portfolio companies with financial analysis, strategic initiatives, and market assessments; and track performance metrics and prepare regular updates for stakeholders.Fund management and fund raising: Supporting, where required, the management and reporting of existing funds and raising of new funds.Customer service: Make a positive contribution to improving the experience we offer internal and external customers.ESG: Adherence to the PE Team practical guide.Compliance: thorough knowledge of and compliance with Foresight's procedures and standards.Other: Always delivering in a timely fashion to the highest standards.What we are looking forA self-starting, entrepreneurial individual that can demonstrate the ability to undertake the above responsibilities, has a high regard for the SME sector and is eager to learn in a hands-on working environment.Exceptional technical skills in Microsoft Office, financial modelling, and analysis.Proven ability to analyse complex data and present findings succinctly.A collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills, suited to working in a small team environment.Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.Ability to demonstrate sound investment judgement and take the actions which create value across the portfolio of funds managed by the Private Equity Team.Qualifications and ExperienceAt least 4 years of experience in finance including private equity, M&A, investment banking, corporate finance, transaction services; management consulting; or a related field.Strong academic background with a degree in finance, economics, business, or a related discipline.
