As a Machinist, you will be responsible for:
1. Programming and operating precision dicing and grinding machines to tolerances down to +/-3µm.
2. Maintaining high standards of accuracy and repeatability with excellent attention to detail.
3. Checking and inspecting your own work to ensure it meets required standards and tolerances, demonstrating high quality standards and using a variety of measurement equipment.
4. Modifying process parameters based on material specifications or machine feedback.
5. Taking a proactive approach to health, safety, and environmental risks and reporting them as necessary.
6. Performing machine maintenance as per schedules.
7. Completing all relevant paperwork accurately and in a timely manner, recording work digitally using the SAP system.
8. Carrying out any other reasonable duties within capability as required.
9. Maintaining a clean room environment using good manufacturing practices.
To be successful in this role you will:
1. Have an understanding of mechanical drawings and measuring work to tolerances.
2. Have experience of manual machining (lathes and milling machines).
3. Be able to work on your own initiative and understand all aspects of the manufacturing process.
4. Be a good team player and display good communication and problem-solving skills.
