This role offers significant long-term career development opportunities within a supportive and collaborative environment.As a Senior Process / Mechanical Engineer at Arup, you will:Lead the design and delivery of complex building services projects across various sectors (pharmaceutical/biotechnological, laboratory and healthcare etc.), with a focus on our Science and Industry portfolio of work.Develop innovative process / mechanical solutions, incorporating net-zero carbon principles, embodied carbon analysis, and circular economy strategies.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, clients, process engineering partners and other specialists, to ensure seamless project integration.Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and growth within the team.Oversee contractor coordination, ensuring successful delivery and commissioning of mechanical installations.Essential Skills and Qualifications:Minimum 7 years of post-qualification design experience within a consultancy or Mechanical contractor environment.Level 8 Degree in Process / Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or equivalent.Experience in Clean Rooms and Laboratory HVAC and mechanical designs.Including Clean Media, WFI (Water For Injection) and Purified Water Design.Coordinate the interface with the other design team leads (process, building, electricity, utilities, automation, etc.)Ensure designs meet with all regulatory requirements with ISO, FDA, and GMP.We also value:Experience in the European and Irish market.Chartered Engineer status (or near chartered) with a proven track record in delivering innovative process/mechanical engineering solutions.Strong knowledge of Irish building regulations (including BCAR) and relevant industry standards.Experience managing contractors and overseeing on-site work, including commissioning / qualification and maintenance considerations.Why Arup?At Arup, we believe in rewarding our members for their contributions to our shared success.
