Senior Geotechnical Engineer
We are excited to collaborate with our client in their search for a talented Senior Geotechnical Engineer.
The successful candidate will join an experienced geotechnical team based in Ireland, working in a hybrid environment that balances remote flexibility with in-person collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee project coordination and serve as the main point of contact with clients.
* Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to geotechnical engineers and engineering geologists.
* Deliver geotechnical design solutions for earthworks, slope stability, shallow and deep foundations, and retaining walls.
* Manage and coordinate ground investigation contracts for large-scale infrastructure and commercial development projects.
* Offer expert geotechnical advice and support design teams with specialized input.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 7 years of experience in geotechnical design, with a focus on major road, rail, and civil engineering projects.
* A Level 8 Honours Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Chartered status (CEng, MICE, or equivalent).
* Proven expertise in a dynamic engineering consultancy setting.
Desirable Skills:
* Strong project management skills, with a deep understanding of the engineering consultancy sector.
* Robust analytical and numerical skills.
* In-depth knowledge of Eurocode 7 design principles.
* Familiarity with numerical software such as Geo Studio, Holebase/Openground, Wallap, and similar tools.
