Serve as a vital member of the services team, providing support and care to clients with cancer and their families.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES - SERVICE DELIVERY
* Take responsibility for front office administrative tasks and effectively manage & triage client services.
* Collaborate as a member of the front office services team to ensure clients are consistently treated with respect and professionalism.
* Oversee appointment scheduling processes and collaborate effectively with the front office team.
DUTIES
* Be the first point of contact for clients and their families via in-person, telephone, or email.
* Deal with all enquiries in an empathetic and professional manner.
* Refer clients to appropriate support on a triage basis.
* Coordinate and support the services team by filling cancellations from waiting lists.
* Coordinate and support the services team by reviewing waiting lists and recruiting for upcoming groups.
* Coordinate volunteers to ensure all shifts in the rota are covered.
* Maintain the noticeboards in the reception area, ensuring notices are up-to-date and accurate.
* Perform any other duties relating to streamlining the administration of the front office.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
* Ensure that Health and Safety standards are met within the Service in accordance with Cork ARC’s Health and Safety policy.
* Record and report all health and safety and security issues, as appropriate to the role.
* Adhere fully and cooperate with staff in the management of any emergency situations when they arise.
TEAMWORK
* Work as a member of the team in the best interests of ARC clients.
* Be flexible in regard to working hours (in agreement and after negotiation with the management), for the benefit of the service.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
* In conjunction with management, continuously develop the role to ensure all tasks are undertaken in a manner which meets the strategic aims and objectives of Cork ARC.
* Participate in internal/external meetings as required and attend training events and other functions, as necessary.
* Ensure that all Cork policies and procedures are being adhered to, particularly those relating to Health and Safety, the Code of Practice, and Confidentiality.
* Contribute to the effective implementation of Cork ARC’s Equal Opportunities Policy as it affects both Cork ARC and its work with clients.
* Undertake your role in a professional manner maintaining a high-quality standard of work, and always work in accordance with the aims, values, and ethos of Cork ARC.
* Undertake any other duties that may be required which are commensurate with the role in consultation with the Director of Services and CEO.

PERSON REQUIREMENTS
* Minimum of two years' experience working directly with clients in a person-centered environment.
* Experience coordinating and managing a busy service, preferably within a social care environment.
* Strong CRM experience as well as MS Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
* Experience working in a team-focused environment for the benefit of the organisation.
