Data Centre Service Contract Manager
Our client is a leading HVAC service provider with a requirement for Service Contract Manager to oversee two Data Centres in Dublin.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop a good working relationship with staff and the Data Centre Owner.
2. Be the main point of contact for all mechanical requirements.
3. Use CMMS to create work orders for tasks carried out on site.
4. Update all site mechanical and controls procedures including EOPs, SOPs & MOPs.
5. Approve documentation (mechanical/controls systems) prior to works starting on site.
6. Carry out QA on all vendor works completed on site relating to Mechanical systems.
7. Deliver detailed root cause analysis & post-mortem reports on equipment failures.
8. Ensure all spares relating to the Mechanical & Data Centre systems are in place.
9. Point of contact for the shift team to support Data Centre escalation procedures.
10. Ensure Emergency classification & notifications are correct, accurate & up to date.
11. Drive site wide energy efficiency through innovations, extra works & projects.
12. Assist the Technical Manager to review all subcontractor maintenance contracts.
13. Attend subcontractor review meetings & input into the vendor scorecards.
14. Provide site specific Mechanical systems training to the Mechanical team.
15. Keep the site syllabus & training curriculum up to date.
16. Develop Mechanical examination questions & perform scenarios as part of site specific training program.
17. Liaise with peers to ensure compliance with client standards & best practice.
18. Report health and safety breaches through the ‘HAZARD’ process.
19. Ensure a professional image is presented to clients and visitors at all times.
20. Ensure the provision of a Safe and Healthy working environment.
21. Assist in technical staff management, development, & appraisal.
22. Assist on the recruitment of new staff by providing technical assessment for all new candidates interviewing to join the team on site.
The ideal candidate:
1. Trade level and/or degree in Mechanical Engineering.
2. Familiar with Data Centres mechanical & control systems including generators, fuel systems, air handling units, fire alarm systems, fire suppression systems, building management systems.
3. Experience of automatic control equipment including relay logic, programmable logic controllers, building management systems and their integration with Data Centre infrastructure.
4. Team building, people management & coaching skills.
Remuneration:
The salary range is €70k - €80k and will reflect the experience levels of the candidate. A company car is provided plus pension scheme, laptop, phone etc.
