Business Analyst II, Strategic Initiatives, MENA

We are looking for a Business Analyst II who will play a critical role in shaping and driving the data analytics stream within the strategic initiatives team of the MENA region - UAE, KSA and Egypt.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identifying opportunities to grow the business in a sustainable way, engaging with teams to set up the right mechanisms as well as owning the business performance.
* Analyzing and diving deep on our business performance metrics, identifying possible changes and presenting insights and recommendations to the leadership team.
* Building the capabilities for how we integrate science/analytics models necessary for evaluation and implementation of new strategies to support growth.
* Continually improving ongoing reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying self-service support for secondary datasets, updating existing metrics as well as creating new metrics.
* Educating, informing, and driving business decisions by connecting your analysis through the lens of financial performance.
* Reporting results in a manner which is both statistically rigorous and compellingly relevant.
* Owning the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, dashboards etc. to drive key business decisions.
* Recognizing and adopting best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.
* Tuning complex query performance using profiling tools and SQL.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics or equivalent work experience.
* 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
* Fluency in SQL is a must and experience in data visualization using QuickSight, Tableau, or similar tools.
* Proficiency in analytical data manipulation on large marketing databases and external data sources.
* Expert using Excel for data analysis and modelling.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Advanced degree in statistics, analytics, operational research, business or related discipline.
* Experience with building scalable reporting.
* Be self-driven, detail-oriented, and show ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete data.
* Develop strong collaborative relationships with key partners in data engineering, business intelligence, software development, finance, modeling and product teams.
* Proficient using SQL, R, Python, or other equivalent statistics and machine learning tools.
* Experience working in the machine learning field, recommendations and/or personalization.
