Electrical Engineer for Datacenter Power Generation and Transmission Infrastructure

* Capture requirements and turn company goals into well-defined specifications and solutions.
* Design and construct utility scale generation plants, energy storage systems, and substations.
* Develop design proposals that meet quality requirements and budgets.
* Collaborate with teams to create construction documents.
* Participate in site selection reviews.
* Work with local utilities and grid operators to understand interconnection requirements.
* Communicate with users and define project scope.
* Work with vendors to specify electrical equipment.
* Ensure compliance with IEEE, UL, IEC, EU requirements and building codes.
* Review equipment submittals and provide technical support.
* Work with commissioning teams to test and validate electrical systems.
* Communicate with people from various technical backgrounds.
* Produce clear documentation and maintain high quality standards.
* Audit and implement the Global Electrical and Mechanical Basis of Design.
* Travel to sites and provide engineering evaluations.
* Manage construction, maintenance, and upgrade projects.
* Familiarity with control systems, SCADA, and power plant automation technologies.
* Ability to work on concurrent projects in multiple regions.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree in engineering with 5+ years of experience with utility scale power plants.
* Understanding of US ANSI, UL, NERC, FERC, NESC and European EN & IEC standards.
* Knowledge of building codes and regulations including Life Safety, IBC, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA.
* Knowledge of Greenhouse Gas and Global Air Quality Emissions Reduction techniques.
* Technical expertise in relay protection schemes, HV & MV circuit breakers, power and distribution transformers.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Master's degree in electrical engineering with 7+ years of relevant design experience.
* Direct experience with generation plants, energy storage assets, and substations.
* Understanding of mechanical equipment and system design.
* Experience with fast track design/build projects and multiple significant upgrade projects.
* Experience with Hyperscale Distributed Energy Projects.
