Job Summary
The company is seeking a highly experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance function in Ireland. This role will be responsible for developing financial management across the island of Ireland, managing day-to-day finance and management accounting functions, and creating robust financial controls and Management Information Systems (MIS).
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a team of 3 finance staff in 2 locations.
* Lead, coach, and mentor the team.
* Prepare management accounts with commercial commentary and presentation.
* Monthly reporting to the Group finance team.
* Preparation of statutory accounts and liaison with external Auditors.
* Preparation of budgets, forecasts, and cash flows.
* Work closely with the management team to offer commercial decision-making support.
* Manage the organisation's bank accounts and working capital management.
* Multi-currency management.
* Oversee the completion of monthly payroll for the site (approx. 100 employees).
* Manage all regulatory returns including VAT and PAYE for ROI and UK jurisdictions.
Requirements:
* Ambitious individual with energy to support company growth.
* Technically strong with drive and creativity to develop business analytics and management information.
* Strong IT skills, especially Excel and MIS systems.
* Excellent leadership skills with ability to foster and develop knowledge sharing.
* Fully Qualified Accountant with relevant experience working at Financial Controller level.
* Proven ability to deliver business improvement.
* Experience of UK and ROI tax and regulatory reporting ideal.
