About the RoleAt Workday Limited, we're seeking a seasoned leader to oversee our team of highly technical Erlang developers working on sophisticated distributed systems. As an Engineering Manager, you'll be responsible for leading a high-performing team of DevOps engineers operating multi-clustered, large fleets of NoSQL databases.We're looking for someone who can handle server budgets for our service at the core of Workday's persistent storage, provide strategic direction, and ensure alignment with company goals. You'll also refine and contribute to the vision of the team, helping shape the future of our services for Workday customers.In this role, you'll build critical systems at scale, work closely with collaborators across multiple organizations, and ensure data security, resilience, and integrity by implementing standard methodologies and compliance measures.About YouTo succeed in this position, you'll need 2+ years of experience managing development or production engineering teams of 6-8 software engineers. You should have 4+ years of software design and development experience, including using configuration management tools and procedures like Chef, Linux OS, NoSQL, Ansible, or similar.You'll also need experience working with highly distributed, highly concurrent systems, including SQL/NoSQL experience in technologies like Riak, Cassandra, Hadoop, Spark, HBase, or similar. Cloud object storing services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) are highly appreciated.What We OfferWe offer a competitive salary of $**$160,000 - $200,000 per annum**, depending on location and experience.
