HybridThe Role: Pieta is seeking an experienced and purpose-driven chief financial officer to join its executive leadership team and help shape their future. In a key strategic role, reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead the finance and governance functions to ensure strong financial sustainability, operational excellence, and compliance. You’ll work closely with the board and senior leaders to support strategic decision-making, provide clear financial insights, and drive forward-thinking plans that support the delivery of Pieta’s life-saving services. You’ll be responsible for the organization’s financial planning, reporting, and control environment, while also playing a key role in governance, risk management, and performance improvement. You’ll lead a high-performing finance team, ensure regulatory and audit requirements are met, and help manage key stakeholder relationships. With a growing national footprint and increasing demand, Pieta needs a CFO who brings not just technical skill, but vision, energy, and a deep commitment to making a difference.The Person: You are a professionally qualified accountant with at least seven years’ post-qualification experience in a senior finance role. A strategic thinker and proven leader, you have successfully managed complex organizations and led high-performing teams through growth and change. You bring a strong background in change management, corporate governance, and stakeholder engagement, with the ability to influence and collaborate at the board and executive levels. You have an understanding of the charity and non-profit sector, including experience with SORP2015 and sector-specific compliance.
