Overview of the role:
The Programme Manager is a key member of the Portfolio Delivery & Change team, responsible for overseeing and managing one or more programmes within one or more portfolios. Reporting directly to the Senior Programme Manager, this role involves strategic planning, risk assessment, and performance monitoring to achieve business objectives and ensure the successful delivery of projects and programmes. The Programme Manager works closely with the P3O Support Officer, stakeholders, executives, and team members to optimize resource allocation and maximize benefits embedment and return on investment.
What you’ll do:
1. Lead and manage one or more programmes within one or more portfolios, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
2. Collaborate closely with the P3O Support Officer, stakeholders, executives, and team members to drive programme success.
3. Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize resource allocation and maximize benefits embedment and return on investment.
4. Conduct risk assessments and monitor programme performance to identify and mitigate potential issues.
5. Provide regular updates and reports to senior management, executives, and stakeholders on programme status and progress.
6. Facilitate effective communication and coordination among project teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
7. Lead programme reviews and make data-driven decisions to enhance project outcomes.
8. Champion continuous improvement initiatives and best practices within the Portfolio Delivery & Change team.
9. Oversee change management initiatives as part of the programme to ensure smooth transitions and successful implementation of changes.

Experience:

2. Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, risk assessment, and performance monitoring.
3. Proven ability to lead and manage large-scale projects and programmes.
4. Proven ability to identify programme values, target operating model, identify programme benefits, and manage them until the end of embedment.
5. Strong background in collaborating with various stakeholders, including executives and team members.
6. Adept at providing detailed reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders.
7. Experience in facilitating effective communication and coordination among project teams.
8. A solid track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives and implementing best practices.
9. Familiarity with overseeing change management initiatives as part of the programmes.

7. Knowledge of industry trends and innovations to continuously improve programme management practices.
8. Ability to create and maintain comprehensive documentation and reports on programme status and performance.
9. Professional certifications such as PgMP (Program Management Professional), or equivalent.
10. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA or Master's in Project Management) is a plus.
11. Proven track record of successful programme management and leadership roles.
