Retail Store Manager - Drogheda

Leading by example, you'll role model the Choice way of doing things. Highly present and hands-on, you will ensure that every team member understands the importance of sales and their role in making the store successful. Every week you'll build customer loyalty and uphold high operational standards.

We don't expect you to know everything about Choice. This is why we train you at our training academy and develop our Store Managers to build the knowledge, confidence and skills they need to provide exceptional service every time customers visit our Stores. However, you will need enthusiasm for customer service, good leadership skills, motivation to learn, and a real passion for helping people.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide training and development to all members of your team within the stores.
2. Actively manage employee performance and probation reviews through the relevant procedures.
3. Ensure new and existing plans, procedures and updates have been communicated efficiently to all members of each store team.
4. Lead by example and be a role model, always displaying exemplary leadership behaviour.
5. Deliver an exceptional customer-focused store experience by leading the team to a customer-focused approach.
6. Ensure you and the team have up-to-date product knowledge, achieving customer loyalty and building the brand's reputation.
7. Organise workflow, ensuring the team understands their roster, duties, and delegated tasks.
8. Visually ensure the store always looks great, having a keen eye for detail in merchandising and standards.
9. Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
10. Display flexibility, willing to take on additional tasks and assist in the execution of new projects.
11. Maintain a professional positive 'can do' attitude at all times.
12. Overall responsibility for each store's performance, ensuring sales targets are met and all KPIs meet expectations.
13. Professionally deal with any complaints/requests from customers to maintain the Company's reputation.
14. Oversee in-store promotional/seasonal displays.
15. Maintain strict levels of confidentiality regarding the business and its employees.
16. Follow and implement all Company Policies and Procedures to help drive the business.
17. Carry out Store Cash Management and back office processes.
18. Ensure store Security and Health & Safety procedures are followed and implemented at all times.
19. Any other duties assigned by your Manager.
Experience & Qualifications:
1. At least 1 year of retail management experience in a fast-paced environment.
2. Big Box retail experience preferred.
3. Experience managing a large team.
4. Excellent people skills.
5. Excellent store standards.
6. Ability to foster excellent working relationships across different functions and locations.
7. Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
8. Strong leadership skills.
9. Evidence of building and nurturing a team.
10. Amazing attention to detail and a keen eye for merchandising.
