About Us:
Lois Bridges is a specialized service providing inpatient/day & outpatient care for Eating Disorders. We offer comprehensive and coordinated treatment programs for adults, incorporating multidisciplinary treatment which sees collaboration between our psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, assistant psychologists, psychotherapists, psychiatric nurses, and peer support workers.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and organized Psychologist who has experience working with individuals with eating disorders to join our team and support the smooth operation of our practice.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct Psychological Assessments: Perform in-depth psychological evaluations, including diagnostic testing, clinical interviews, and behavioral assessments to identify mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, learning disabilities, or developmental disorders.
2. Provide Individual and Group Therapy: Offer therapeutic services to individuals, families, or groups, employing evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based approaches, or psychodynamic therapy.
3. Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Collaborate with clients to create tailored treatment plans based on assessment outcomes and therapeutic goals. Monitor client progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
4. Administer Psychometric Tests: Utilize standardized psychological tests (e.g., intelligence tests, personality assessments, neuropsychological tests) to assess cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functions.
5. Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work closely with psychiatrists, social workers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care and treatment.
6. Provide Crisis Intervention and Support: Offer immediate psychological support and intervention during acute mental health crises, including suicide risk assessments, and refer clients to appropriate emergency services when necessary.
7. Maintain Accurate Records: Keep detailed, confidential records of all assessments, treatment plans, and therapy sessions, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
8. Engage in Research and Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest research, advancements, and trends in psychology. Participate in ongoing professional development through workshops, training, and research opportunities.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
* Relevant qualification in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or Counseling Psychology.
* Licensed and registered Psychologist in Ireland with IACP or PSI.
* Experience working in clinical, educational, or organizational settings.
* Strong knowledge of psychological testing, assessments, and therapeutic interventions.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in specific fields such as child and adolescent psychology, neuropsychology, trauma therapy, or forensic psychology.
* Experience working with individuals with eating disorders.
* Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
* Experience working with diverse populations and complex psychological conditions.
