Job Description
An academic organization is seeking a Contracts Manager with strong Intellectual Property experience to join their Dublin-based research center.
The successful candidate will work closely with third-level educational institutions, leading IP management activities and collaborating on industry contracts, licensing agreements, and IP terms.
This fixed-term contract (3 years) is ideal for individuals with an academic or IP background, who enjoy working with contracts and licensing agreements. The role offers flexibility, allowing you to choose your own hours.
Responsibilities:
* Negotiate and review industry contracts, licensing agreements, and IP terms.
* Identify and execute IP collaboration frameworks, including issues related to IP and GDPR.
* Implement, evaluate, and review IP objectives.
* Schedule visits with clients across the country and create IP reports on findings.
* Present findings to boards.
Requirements:
* A third-level degree, ideally in law or business.
* Strong knowledge of Artificial Intelligence is desirable.
* Candidates should come from an academic or industry environment in business development or intellectual property management.
* Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills are essential.
* A good understanding of contracts and research licenses, along with relevant practical commercial experience.
* Familiarity with IP issues arising in academic research contexts.
* A willingness to innovate and implement change is necessary.
