Job Description: Reporting to the QA Manager, the successful candidate will work with fellow QA Engineers to ensure that Ocuco's QA processes are understood, implemented and continually improved.
Ocuco follows SAFe methodology, therefore the successful applicant will primarily engage with PO and developers within a scrum team, ensuring alignment with objectives and consistent delivery of high-quality software throughout sprints.
Strong communication skills are essential for maintaining seamless coordination with developers, product owners, scrum masters, project managers, IT and Support teams.
Additionally, there may be opportunities for direct engagement with customers, aiding the development of test case scenarios and providing clear, reproducible steps for issue resolution.
The focus is on quality; therefore the individual must possess meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and proficiency in documentation.
Responsibilities: Work within a scrum team to ensure a successful delivery, based on the definition of done.Ensure each release candidate of all products follows a complete test cycle and verify that it meets Ocuco's high standard of quality.Record all actions and communications on Jira regarding any issue or query resulting from testing.Develop Test Cases from business requirements, document and execute them in Ocuco's Test Management System (TestRail).Expand the Functional/ Regression test cases as new features are added to Ocuco's products.Continuously develop and refine own product usage, industry, training and technical writing expertise.Contribute to developing appropriate test strategies and detailed test plans.Provide mentoring and guidance to junior team members.Help to identify and implement improvements that enhance the Test Process and improve overall QA practices.The successful candidate must have: An IT-related qualification.A minimum of 4 years of software testing/Quality Assurance experience.Strong and proven experience in creating test cases and their execution.Proven experience in API/BE Testing.Experience and full understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.Proven ability to learn, introduce and improve new and existing test practices and processes.Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies in software development.Proven documentation skills.Excellent communication skills.High level of analytical thinking and orientation to detail.Strong focus on customer experience and product quality.The ideal candidate will also have: Previous experience in the optical industry.Experience in Automated testing.
