PE Global is currently recruiting for a Utilities Engineer for a leading pharmaceutical client based in Sligo.
This is an initial 12-month contract position.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the execution of projects within the group.
* Carry out and implement equipment and process improvement initiatives.
* Ensure the performance of day-to-day preventative and demand maintenance activity to maintain manufacturing and utility equipment.
* Assist with the management and support of manufacturing/utility/facility project plans.
* Coordinate maintenance of manufacturing & facility equipment to required maintenance schedules.
* Prepare capital expenditure requests for the facility, plant, and equipment.
* Develop monthly engineering metrics for operations, utilities, and facilities, including ownership of the Site Maintenance Excellence Program to drive operational improvements and implement cost savings.
* Ensure successful agency, external, divisional, and corporate audits related to engineering compliance systems.
* Issue management reports as requested and on time.
* Manage relevant budgets within targets.
* Cross-train within the department to ensure appropriate preventive maintenance schedules are achieved.
* Ensure safety standards are met and safe working practices adhered to.
* Implement equipment/process upgrades in an environment of continuous improvement.
* Support the Engineering Team in ensuring that manufacturing equipment is maintained to meet the required legal, divisional, and corporate standards.
* Ensure the effective management of appropriate internal and external plant projects.
* Implement all relevant policies relating to Quality, Engineering & Safety.
* Supervise external contractors, including the development of performance metrics for third-party service providers of site services.
* Negotiate costs and drive quality & performance with external contractors.
* Prepare appropriate CAPA plans and implement timelines.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Biomedical, Electronics) or relevant discipline.
* Experience in chilled water, boilers, potable water distribution, compressed air generation, LPHW, building management systems, environmental management systems, electricity, building safety systems, and building regulations is desirable.
