Our client, a global leader in the beverage industry, is seeking an Interim Head of Brand Communications to oversee the brand’s global communication agenda. This senior role requires an experienced brand leader with a digital-first mindset, responsible for creating breakthrough campaigns and ensuring consistent, impactful messaging that drives brand desire and long-term growth.
The role will be based in Dublin a couple of days per week and is being offered on a 6 month interim basis.
This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional with expertise in brand communications, digital strategy, and campaign management. The successful candidate will work closely with executive stakeholders to shape the communication vision and lead cross-functional teams in the execution of globally integrated and insight-driven brand campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Global Communication Strategy: Define the brand’s overarching communication strategy, aligning with the company's brand-building principles.
2. Data-Driven Insights: Partner with Consumer Market Insights (CMI) and Innovation teams to incorporate insights into campaign strategies, ensuring relevance and resonance with target audiences.
3. Campaign Leadership: Lead end-to-end campaign development, with a digital-first approach, from ideation through to market launch, ensuring alignment with brand positioning and consumer insights.
4. Omnichannel Integration: Oversee all aspects of global advertising to create seamless, integrated campaigns across digital, print, PR, and experiential channels.
5. Collaboration with PR: Work closely with the PR teams to create compelling, cohesive campaigns that reinforce the brand's status and engage audiences.
6. Brand Consistency: Act as the brand guardian, ensuring guidelines, messaging frameworks, and brand voice are consistently applied across all regions and communication channels.
7. Digital Strategy: Establish the brand’s digital agenda to ensure an omnichannel user journey that leverages data insights and best practices.
8. Budget Management: Oversee the allocation of Advertising & Promotion (A&P) budgets to maximise impact in priority markets and ensure efficient resource utilization.
9. Performance & Reporting: Adhere to reporting standards, provide performance insights, and participate in business planning meetings, ensuring alignment with governance procedures and business objectives.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Significant experience in brand communications from within the beverage or FMCG sectors.
2. Proven expertise in leading global, omnichannel campaigns with a digital-first approach.
3. Strong understanding of brand strategy, positioning, and storytelling across diverse markets.
4. Demonstrated success in managing cross-functional and cross-regional teams, with the ability to influence at a senior level.
5. Data-driven mindset, with experience using insights to guide communication strategies.
6. Excellent project management, budgeting, and organizational skills.
7. Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
