Our client, a top 5 Irish law firm, seeks to hire a talented EU & Competition Law Solicitor with 3-6 years' PQE to its market leading team in Dublin. This is an exceptional opportunity for a candidate with Irish, London, or Brussels experience to join a leading practice that advises on high-profile, complex matters across industries such as technology, energy, telecoms, and transport. You will work on cutting-edge legal issues, from merger control and state aid to regulatory matters and public procurement challenges, with a team known for its expertise, innovation, and client-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities
* Advise clients on EU and Irish competition law, including merger control, cartels, and abuse of dominance cases.
* Provide expert guidance on public procurement, assisting both public bodies and private sector bidders in navigating procurement strategies, challenges, and compliance.
* Support clients on state aid matters, including notifications, approvals, and challenges at both national and EU levels.
* Counsel on regulatory and compliance issues across sectors such as telecoms, energy, and transport.
* Represent clients in investigations, dawn raids, and interactions with regulators such as the European Commission and Irish competition authorities.
* Draft and negotiate agreements with a focus on competition compliance and regulatory considerations.
* Advise on broader EU law issues, including treaty interpretation, the four freedoms, and challenges before the Court of Justice of the European Union.

Candidate Profile
* Qualified solicitor with 3–6 years’ PQE in EU, competition, and procurement law, gained in a top-tier law firm, regulator, or in-house role in Ireland, London, or Brussels.
* Strong understanding of EU and Irish competition frameworks, public procurement rules, and regulatory compliance.
* Proven ability to manage complex, high-value transactions and disputes with precision and efficiency.
* Exceptional analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills, combined with a pragmatic, commercial approach.
* Comfortable working in fast-paced, cross-disciplinary environments with national and international clients.
