We're seeking a BIM Designer specialising in Electrical systems.
You will be creating complex electrical models, linking those models with other disciplines in a single model environment to fully build Data Centre projects digitally before construction begins. Additionally, you will be red-lining and/or modifying new and existing plan set documentation regarding Electrical systems.
As a member of the global team, domestic and international travel may be necessary. Effective teamwork is essential for achieving our goals, relying on others to accomplish the required work within internal groups, external suppliers, consultants, utilities, manufacturers, vendors, and contractors.

This role requires a creative, smart, and driven individual who enjoys working with complex problems and teams.
Other tasks include:
1. Preparing and developing detailed Revit models of Electrical systems
2. Updating and modifying existing models and drawing sets as required
3. Managing the creation, issuing, and revisions of drawings & models
4. Coordinating electrical services with other disciplines to develop clash resolved models and export coordinated drawing sets
5. Creating and releasing data centre and data centre substation Electrical designs, collaborating in a fast-paced environment to meet scheduled targets
6. Working on concurrent projects across multiple geographical locations
7. Collaborating with an internal CSAMEP design team
8. Providing coordination support for information requests during construction phases
Basic Qualifications:
• 3 years BIM/CAD experience in Electrical Building Design & services
• Experience using Revit for large Electrical projects
• Working knowledge of building engineering and construction technology
• Experience developing Single Line schematics and layout drawings and understanding their relationship
• Experience taking drawings from conceptual design through construction documents, including good understanding of Mechanical and Electrical systems and their configuration in data centres
• Experience establishing and managing BIM models, including orientation, geo-positioning, coordination, and exporting embedded data and schedules to spreadsheets
Preferred Qualifications:
• Specialist Diploma in Building Information Modelling with 8+ years' strong Revit/CAD experience in Electrical building services
• 4+ years' experience designing electrical systems on mission critical projects
• Experience modelling/drawing deliverables for Data Centres or other large facilities (Pharmaceutical, Fabrication Plants, Hospitals, etc.)
• Understanding LEAN Engineering
• Excellent organisation skills in archival & maintenance operations of project documents
• Organised and able to set priorities and meet deadlines
• Motivated, highly dependable & team player individual
• Possess excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Good understanding of quality standards and national standards
