We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Financial Controller to join the leadership team and drive financial excellence.Role Overview:As a Senior Financial Controller, you will oversee the financial management of the business, ensuring strong financial control, reporting, and strategic planning. You will work closely with senior management to support decision-making, optimise profitability, and maintain financial stability. This role requires a hands-on approach, as well as the ability to provide high-level financial insight to drive business growth.Key Responsibilities:Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.Develop and implement financial strategies to support business growth and sustainability.Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management.Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, tax obligations, and statutory requirements.Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and financial risk management.Conduct financial analysis to identify areas for cost reduction and operational improvement.Oversee payroll, accounts payable, and receivable functions.Lead and mentor finance staff, ensuring strong internal controls and best practices.Collaborate with project managers to monitor budgets and financial performance of ongoing projects.Liaise with external auditors, accountants, and regulatory bodies.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor's or Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).3-5 years experience in a senior financial role, preferably in the construction, landscaping, or design industry.Strong financial acumen with expertise in budgeting, financial planning, and risk management.Excellent knowledge of accounting software and financial reporting tools.Experience with project-based accounting and cost management.Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail.What We Offer:Competitive salary and benefits package.A dynamic and creative working environment in a growing business.Career development opportunities with leadership responsibilities.A chance to work on high-end projects with a passionate team.
