Job Description
As large enterprises transition critical systems to the cloud, we require high-powered technical leaders to assist Amazon's largest and most strategically important customers in navigating the operational challenges of cloud computing.
You will collaborate with top-tier customers to support software development life-cycles for cloud services, manage active service operations, and build business relationships with AWS.
This role offers the opportunity to shape and execute a strategy that fosters mind-share and broad use of Amazon Web Services with one of our largest customers.
To succeed, you must possess exceptional management and customer-facing skills that enable effective representation of AWS within a customer's environment and facilitate discussions with senior personnel on incidents, trade-offs, best practices, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Champion and Advocate for Enterprise Customers: Act as their voice within Amazon Web Services
* Develop Technical Solutions: Lead a team responsible for solving technical issues and work directly with AWS engineers to resolve customer problems expeditiously
* Participate in Architectural Discussions: Ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud
* Help Define IT and Business Processes: Aid Enterprise customers in defining processes that align with cloud deployments
* Engage with Senior Executives: Translate business needs into technical and operational plans
* Influence Product Roadmap: Collaborate with AWS executive leadership to inform product development
* Analyze Service Disruptions: Provide detailed reviews of service disruptions, metrics, and pre-launch planning
Requirements:
* 4+ years managing technical teams
* 5+ years of direct customer engagement, with a focus on support to senior executives (Vice President and C-level)
* Track record of effectively managing technical teams
* Estimated 25% travel requirement
* Experience scaling an organization through rapid growth or expansion
* Previous experience in technical account management, business relationship management, or consulting
* Experience in Financial Services Industry is a plus
* Previous experience managing a budget or P&L
* Adaptable communication style that fits diverse audiences
* Proficient in communicating complex ideas, either written or presented
* Excellent analytical skills with a track record of achieving balance between innovative thinking and a strong customer and quality focus
* A degree in an STEM field is a plus; an MBA is highly valued
* Experience with AWS service offerings
* Meets/exceeds Amazon's leadership principles requirements for this role
* Meets/exceeds Amazon's functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
