Business Development Manager
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional to make a real impact in our rapidly growing Cork-based manufacturer of heating systems.
About the Role:
As Business Development Manager, you will be at the forefront of our expansion, representing us at International Exhibitions across Europe and China (50% travel) while fostering and strengthening relationships with distributors.
You will be an integral part of a small but ambitious management team, driving growth and taking charge of business development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify and develop new business opportunities, partnerships, and market segments to drive sales growth.
* Conduct continuous market research to understand trends and customer needs, shaping future business strategies.
* Implement effective sales strategies to expand our market reach and profitability.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, customers, and industry partners.
* Manage and update the CRM database to support future business development initiatives.
* Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored solutions for customers.
* Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences worldwide.
* Provide regular reports on business development activities, sales metrics, and market insights.
* Support the preparation of sales forecasts, budgets, and strategic business plans.
* Oversee the follow-up process for customer quotations and inbound enquiries via phone, website, social media.
* Assist in creating content for blogs and maintaining website engagement alongside the Sales & Marketing team.
Requirements:
* 5+ years' experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the Heating, Technical or Manufacturing industry.
* Experience managing a globally diverse distributor network.
* Strong strategic thinking with a track record of implementing successful business strategies.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* A confident self-starter with high commercial acumen and the ability to work independently.
* Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 50% of the time).
* Ability to develop and present professional proposals and lead virtual and in-person sales meetings.
