Quality Engineer
We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our client, a specialist Mechanical and Process Engineering contractor. This role involves working on important Pharma projects and making a significant impact in your career.
Responsibilities
* Conduct QA/QC of HVAC, Piping Systems and P&ID within the Pharma and process industry, including walkdowns.
* Complete system test packs and hand over/signoff documents.
* Review installations for compliance with clients' quality plans, standards, specifications, design procedures, and expectations.
* Conduct system testing and inspection of systems installations.
* Attend quality meetings with management and subcontractors and report on quality.
* Work closely with site construction teams to deliver quality installations at each step of the build process – design, detail, construction, sign off, and final line walking.
* Understand welding processes, requirements, and certification.
* Coordinate welding processes, including NDT testing, requirements.
* Work in a fast-paced Equipment Facilitation & Installation environment and controlled environment/cleanroom.
* Liaise with main contractors/subcontractors to coordinate inspections and tests.
* Perform walkdown of systems.
* Manage and inspect weld logs, daily coupons, welder qualifications, NDT reports, material test certs, redlines, etc.
* Ensure welding qualifications are current and quality of welders is of a good standard.
* Manage First of Kinds (FOKs) and ensure sign off.
* Manage test packs and calibration certs.
* Conduct final QC checks of systems pre-test and post-test.
* Perform Quality Audits.
Requirements
* A qualified tradesperson (plumber/fitter) and/or coded welders or a 3rd qualification in Mechanical Engineering/Building Services or similar.
* Experience in Pharma is essential.
* CSWIP 3.0 Welding Inspection Qualification desirable.
* 8+ years Industry Experience and 2 years' experience in a similar role.
* Understanding of EIDA, Fieldview, Viewpoint, and CDEs.
* Capability to read and review specifications.
