Team Horizon is seeking an Electrical Validation Engineer for a client in Galway.
The role is responsible for all EMC/ET Validation activities from RFQ phase to final customer acceptance of a defined project, it runs the activities for one project according to Valeo rules and international standards.
Why you should apply: Our client has developed a stand-out culture of innovation, inclusion and development, and consistently features as a great place to work.Excellent contracting rates on offer.They put their people first and live their diversity and inclusion values embracing all perspectives.What you will be doing: Analysis of the EMC / ET relevant requirementsDefinition of the EMC / ET test cases according to the requirements, standards, regulations and further applicable documents like Functional Safety Concept (test scope)Writing and maintaining of EMC / ET Test Plan, including review and approval of the documentPrepare FVS from EMC / ET perspectiveGeneration of EMC / ET validation cost estimationLead EMC / ET validation activities including equipment, planning, booking of internal and external resourcesReview EMC / ET Test ReportBased on failure analysis making proposals for design optimizationPerform internal communication including status and test progress, resultsInterface to the EMC / ET Design TeamPerform customer communication verbally and in written format about all relevant EMC / ET topics including EMC / ET test status, results and reportsIn case of failure during validation campaigns creation of failure tickets (artifact) and reporting to the Project team (M-MP, R&D Mechatronics PTM, EMC Design Engineer …)Support product conformity according to Type Approval processSupport EMC / ET Design Engineer about EMC / ET risk analysisWhat you need to apply: Degree in Electronic Engineering, Physics, Electronics / RF Microwaves or equivalent preferredGood communication skills, both written and verbalThe person must be able to demonstrate a level of commitment, initiative and quality of workmanship required within an R&D environmentMinimum of 2 years relevant experience in EMC/ET test laboratory or in an EMC/ET related role preferredMinimum of 2 years relevant experience in electronics development may be acceptableAny background knowledge on automotive systems (Car batteries – operate at 12V ~100A).
Power – CCA (cold cranking amps) can raise to excess of 1000A for short periods.
