Cpl in partnership with our client Pfizer are seeking a Material Planner to join the team for an 11-month fixed-term contract at their Newbridge site. This is an onsite role for an initial 6 months, with hybrid working options available.
Position Summary
As the Material Planner, you will oversee and optimise inventory control (IC) and Inventory Management (IM) activities. Responsibilities include supporting monthly demand plans, optimising production strategies, and integrating new businesses and products. You will facilitate IC/IM processes, develop metrics, and ensure data integrity and material/inventory performance.

Specific Areas of Responsibility
Responsibilities depend on role assignment within the department, including:
Customer Service Management
* Support customer order promising and communicate availability changes.
* Coordinate with manufacturing for timely product availability while minimising supply chain inventories.
* Manage ISS and SO markets (Open order reports).
* Handle escalations on supply issues from markets.
Data Management
* Assist with data creation and management in PT/master data changes.
Ci Support (FG/RM)
* Work with planners to identify waste and list CI projects to eliminate non-value activities.
* Support CI initiatives with specialists/ambassadors.
* Track CI initiatives related to IC/MM.
S&OP Support
* Support S&OP and demand planning activities.
* Facilitate monthly material forecast aggregation.
* Establish best practices for data analysis.
* Provide performance metrics and detailed inputs to relevant teams.
Inventory Control
* Review demand forecasts versus actuals, identify trends.
* Notify teams of significant demand or capacity changes.
* Support Pack PAR changes and financial exposure management.
* Manage supplier relationships and change control processes.
* Minimise financial exposure through inventory optimisation.
PPGs & cGMP
* Develop and maintain PPGs, adhere to all plant PPGs.
Project Management
* Manage and participate in projects for continuous improvement.
* Engage in NPI projects, transfers, divestments, obsolescence.
Education
Third-level qualification in purchasing/materials management or related business/science area preferred. Relevant experience and attitude may suffice.
Experience
* Minimum 2 years in manufacturing planning, supply chain, or logistics.
* Attention to detail and accurate documentation.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office.
* Effective communicator and solution-oriented.
* Strong decision-making skills.
* Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
* Team-oriented project coordination skills.
