Role Overview: The Graduate Engineer is responsible for the comprehensive management and optimisation of the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS). This role ensures the system effectively supports the maintenance and asset management needs of the organisation. Key Responsibilities: Asset Management: Logging and maintaining accurate & detailed records of all assets within the CMMS. Implementing and managing asset tagging processes to ensure each asset is uniquely identified and easily tracked. Categorising assets into appropriate asset types to facilitate effective management and reporting. Developing and implementing asset criticality assessments to prioritise maintenance activities. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance (PM & PdM): Creating and managing preventive & Predictive maintenance job plans plans to ensure optimal asset performance and longevity. Continuously improving PM & PDM processes based on data analysis and feedback. System Optimisation: Ensuring the asset structure within the CMMS is logical, comprehensive, and suitable for the organisations needs. Regularly reviewing and updating the system to accommodate changes in assets, processes, or organisational requirements. Documentation and Procedures: Documenting all procedures related to the CMMS, including user guides, maintenance instructions, and compliance requirements. Establishing and maintaining procedures for asset tagging, asset prioritisation, asset categorisation, and preventive maintenance. Training staff on CMMS functionalities and best practices to ensure effective and consistent system use. Stores Management: Assist with as required the integrating and managing inventory and spare parts within the CMMS to ensure efficient stores management. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analysing maintenance data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement. Generating and presenting reports on system performance, asset reliability, and maintenance efficiency. Collaboration: Working closely with maintenance teams, operations staff, and other stakeholders to ensure the CMMS supports overall business objectives. Coordinating with IT and software vendors to troubleshoot issues and implement system upgrades. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Proven experience in managing CMMS systems. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent documentation and communication skills. Familiarity with asset management principles and preventive maintenance strategies. Key Competencies: Technical proficiency in CMMS software.
