The Opportunity
We are looking for someone who is passionate about driving Phorest’s continued growth as an integrated Payments company.
As a Business Analyst, you will be involved in both internal and client/partner facing projects and entrusted to collect, analyse and interpret data from a variety of sources, providing best in class commercial analysis and insight into Phorest’s payment products. You will help define how we measure and evaluate performance in our most crucial revenue lines.
Finally, you will work with both a close-knit commercial and operational team and other internal stakeholders to drive best practice and deliver growth for the business.
What you will do
* Revenue Analysis: Analyse payment data to identify discrepancies, trends, and areas for improvement. Provide recommendations to enhance payment efficiency, reduce costs and protect margin
* Revenue / Opportunity modelling: Work closely with Product and regional teams to build accurate revenue forecasts for current and future product releases
* Budgeting: In collaboration with our Business Performance teams, help to define and agree on commercial targets for all Pay related revenue streams
* Data Analysis: Analyse payment data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies. Utilise data visualisation tools to create reports and dashboards for business stakeholders
* Competitive Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, legislation, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies in merchant services to help inform our business strategy
* Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline data collection, reporting, and analysis processes
* Vendor Management: Maintain and grow relationships with current and potential partners
* Provide analysis support on projects, new initiatives and strategic business decisions
Who you are
* Bachelor's degree in finance, business, data science, or a related field;
* Advanced Excel / Google sheets skills;
* Self-starter, who can take the initiative to work independently and solve problems, whilst maintaining a high standard of work;
* Proven experience as a Payments / Business or Revenue Analyst;
* Ability to work in a varied environment, where exact protocol may not be documented;
* A proactive and results-oriented mindset;
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
* Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Looker or other BI tools
* Experience with international payments systems and practices
* Master's degree in finance or related field
* Professional certifications (e.g., Certified Payments Professional, Certified Treasury Professional)
