Role Overview:
A leading Manufacturing company based in County Cork is currently looking for a Production Manager for a growing manufacturing business. You will be working with a successful Food Manufacturing business that prides itself on providing a high-quality service to customers and staff. You will be responsible for managing a large team to meet the requirements of the production plan and overseeing any issues.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Supervisor for planning and overseeing effective execution of all Production operations on shift.
2. Proactively manage the team to meet daily/weekly production plan demand.
3. Assess project and resource requirements.
4. Ensure there is a comprehensive program of continuous improvement in place to improve quality, performance, efficiency, and reduce costs through structured problem-solving activities (5s and Lean Projects) in line with the company's Quality Policies and systems.
5. Estimate, negotiate, and agree budgets and timescales with clients and managers.
6. Ensure that health and safety regulations are met.
7. Oversee production processes.
8. Monitor KPIs, health and safety regulations, team budgets, and more.
9. Work with the general manager, transport manager, and purchasing manager to ensure the smooth running of the business.
10. Maintain GMP / Housekeeping at a high level at all times.
11. Manage process and material flows.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Experience within a similar role ideally within a manufacturing/engineering environment.
2. Managerial/supervisory/team leader experience.
3. A lean manufacturing background or a strong focus on continuous improvement.
4. Ability to be flexible and adaptable in line with company requirements.
5. Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication.
6. Working knowledge of MRP Systems.
7. Working knowledge of production planning in a fast-paced environment.
