About the Opportunity

BusConnects is a strategic national-level intervention for Ireland that will enhance sustainable transportation and the environment by upgrading walking, cycling and bus infrastructure in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway, and Waterford.
We have been appointed by the National Transport Authority (NTA) as their Client Partner to deliver Dublin’s BusConnects infrastructure. This will include providing programme management and multi-disciplinary expertise over a 10-year programme to deliver 12 schemes comprising 230 kilometres of continuous bus priority corridors and 200 kilometres of cycle paths and improved pedestrian facilities from procurement through to handover of this new infrastructure. The role would suit someone from a civil engineering background with specific experience on highways/roads.
This opportunity is based in Dublin - Ireland and is applicable to European or foreign national professionals who are open to re-location.
Responsibilities:
* Scope Development: Experience in developing scope and contract documents with design teams. Assisting in tender processes under relevant regulations is a plus.
* Construction Phase Administration: Key skills include issuing work variations, handling Compensation Events (CEs), and meeting NEC deadlines.
* Pre-Contract Administration: Managing contracts as an employer's agent, with a strong understanding of NEC3/NEC4 Works Information/Scope.
Minimum Requirements:
* Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction or another built environment subject.
* Chartered or Incorporated status with a relevant professional institution and Accredited NEC Project Manager or Supervisor (NECReg)
* Ability to manage change and uncertainty while maintaining positive relationships with Clients, Contractors and internal teams and balance time, quality and cost to meet Client expectations.
* Experience of managing contractors, consultants and other advisors throughout large (at least £20 million construction value or equivalent) and complex construction projects, under NEC contracts.
