Overview
The Bid Manager will have a strong writing focus, developing technical and business content for bids and prequalification proposals and also support the bid team with the bid pipeline by managing their own bids from start to finish. The role requires writing, reviewing, and editing content, working with bid team members to produce written bid responses and presentation collateral in line with customer deadlines. The Bid Manager will be an integral part of our business strategy and development team directing our growth. It also requires strong bid management skills when owning a bid lifecycle from start to finish. Responsibilities
Review and understand the bid approach and contribute to evolving itProduce compelling bid material in line with the messaging to the customerDiscuss an approach to a bid or specific question with the Head of Service and produce the agreed response for review, uplift and sign off in areas such as value propositions, methodologies, delivery approaches etc.Write effective, concise and compelling content while working towards multiple deadlinesWork as a team to get accurate, high-quality information from all bid stakeholders in order to produce a comprehensive and cohesive bid is essentialAttention to detail and the ability to extract and summarise bid documentsManage standalone bids (RFT’S/PQQ’s etc) of varying scales as required from start to finish, which will require excellent managerial skillsLiaise with the Marketing team on RFT’s / PQQ’s to make sure company details are up to date and accurate.Design compelling visual content in line with Sisk brand guidelines with graphics experienceA thought leader in terms of the bid process and bid material and continually look to evolve our bid messaging and approaches.Scheduling meetings and managing department’s contract and project filing structureAssisting in commercial tasks including drafting payment applications and project variationsCo-ordinating team communications
Experience
Experience of technical and business writing essential within a professional bid environment (3 years+)High attention to detail with an excellent writing abilityDeadline driven with effective time management skillsAbility to multitask and prioritise workloadDesign skills and ability to create compelling bid contributionsExperience in end-to-end bid managementExperience of design work and design packages to create visually compelling bid content and submissions desirable
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
