Position:
As a Director, Stewardship, you will lead and enhance Glass Lewis' stewardship offering, contributing to the development of research frameworks and methodologies for thematic ESG engagements. You will manage client relationships, oversee client deliverables, and play a critical role in shaping our commercial success.
This position will report to the Senior Director in charge of the stewardship team.
Location: Toronto, Paris, London, Limerick, or Karlsruhe
Responsibilities:
* Client management: maintain and expand key institutional investor client relationships, ensuring quality of deliverables and alignment with their goals
* Research leadership: create and refine frameworks for analysing material ESG topics for thematic engagements
* Engagement leadership: lead key engagement meetings with corporate issuers on behalf of investor clients
* Active Stewardship Engagement: support the development of our ASE program
* Team management: oversee the work of Stewardship team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment
* Develop Stewardship Solutions: drive the strategic growth of our stewardship services, ensuring they remain best-in-class
* Other duties as required
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
* At least 8 years of experience in ESG research and engagement, or related fields
* Strong research background, with proven expertise in ESG topics
* Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
* Strong data management and analytical skills
* Previous experience managing teams
* Ability to identify emerging ESG engagement trends in alignment with client demand
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Skills:
* Proficiency in French preferred
* Expertise in climate risk and natural capital, as well as other material ESG themes, in an investment context
