Applications are invited for the post of senior research fellow for the MARINERG-i_PP project at the Environmental Research Institute, MaREI Centre for Energy, Climate and Marine, based at University College Cork (UCC). The world is transitioning to more sustainable energy sources and offshore renewable energy has the potential to make a significant contribution. MARINERG-i is developing a plan for an integrated European Research Infrastructure, an independent legal entity, designed to facilitate the future growth and development of the Offshore Renewable Energy sector. This will involve developing a sustainable, "on-stop-shop" network of testing facilities, with common practices, standards and scientific strategies, offering a range of services via an online e-infrastructure.
The researcher is expected to publish independently and together with the Environmental Research Institute team, present research papers at workshops and international conferences, and contribute to popular dissemination of the research results.
