Job Description Based out of our permanent facility in Co. Carlow (Jones Engineering Manufacturing Ltd), the Manufacturing & Assembly Manager will be responsible for the production output across the facility. These responsibilities will include health and safety, quality, scheduling, digitalisation and materials delivery, to ensure the production schedule is met to the required standards. The successful candidate must have a strong offsite and construction background. Skills and Requirements Ensure weekly and daily work plans are completed and targets are met and exceeded where possible, this is a leading role and a critical requirement to drive productivity. Close contact with facility personnel ensuring that all access, information and materials are available to ensure productive weeks work. Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the facility labour force and the work of any specialist subcontractors Ability to determine manufacturing project schedule needs, provide support in the completion of project schedule, 12 weeks look ahead, reporting on site progress and highlighting future issues / roadblocks to progress to Manufacturing Project Managers. Conduct regular safety walks of the Manufacturing Facility and close out actions / endorse best practices. Lead Mechanical & Electrical fabrication, assembly and commissioning activities ensuring timely completion and reporting of roadblock and follow up to ensure prompt closure. Experience in Project Management Systems. Excellent delegation and organisational skills. Must work well within a team and be able to collaborate with others. Strong communications skills, both written and oral required. Excellent IT skills required - MS Office/Excel. Trade background with supervision experience essential.
