Role Overview
At Corrib Oil, we’re growing our IT team and are looking for a dynamic and solution-driven IT Technician to join us. If you’re passionate about technology, love solving problems, and want to play a key role in supporting a nationwide network, this role is a great fit. As part of our IT team, you’ll deliver hands-on support, manage projects, and help drive continuous improvements across the Corrib Oil Group.
Our ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in IT Administration Support, outstanding communication skills, and a natural ability to stay organized and proactive in a fast-paced environment. This position offers diverse challenges, a collaborative team, and growth opportunities as you support Corrib Oil locations across Ireland.
What You’ll Do
* IT Support & Issue Resolution
Provide effective IT support across Corrib Oil, solving issues for end-users and ensuring minimal downtime through remote troubleshooting and on-site support.
* On-Site & Hardware Support
Visit company sites to address issues, install hardware, and support till systems, user accounts, Office 365, CCTV, and more.
* Technical Systems Maintenance
Manage and support Active Directory, company Wi-Fi, Antivirus, Network, and Email security, and perform essential system updates.
* Backup & Security Monitoring
Oversee system backups, server maintenance, and safeguard critical business hardware, ensuring security compliance and data protection.
* Project Leadership & Collaboration
Drive projects from start to finish, manage system upgrades, and collaborate with the IT Manager and support team for continuous service improvement.
* End-User Support
Assist users across various tech needs, including conference rooms, phone systems, and mobile devices, while providing training and guidance to enhance team efficiency.
* Health & Safety
Actively promote a “stop, think, act” culture to ensure Health & Safety standards are prioritized within IT operations.

What You Bring
* Education: Third-level qualification in IT or equivalent experience in IT Support, Administration, or a Technician role.
* Experience: 1-2 years in an IT support role preferred, with hands-on experience in hardware support and troubleshooting.
* Technical Knowledge: Proficient understanding of Local Area Networks, Office 365, and Active Directory.
* Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with an ability to translate technical terms into everyday language.
* Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and decision-making skills to diagnose and resolve issues effectively.
* Project Skills: Ability and enthusiasm to lead IT projects independently from planning through execution.
* Flexibility: Availability for occasional weekend and bank holiday support; a full driver’s license is required.
