Job Description: Element Six would like to recruit for the position of Maintenance & Facilities Manager reporting to the site Engineering Manager. The role is responsible for the day to day activities and project management within the areas of Equipment, Facilities, Maintenance, and Sustainability.
Duties and tasks
1. Organisational Performance
1. Champion and maintain a culture of ‘Safety First’, leading by example across all tasks completed by the Maintenance, Facilities and Equipment Engineering Teams.
2. Maintain a high performing diverse Engineering team through the development of exceptional engineering talent, and the development of core technical skills and knowledge to support future growth.
2. Maintenance and Facilities Contract Management
1. Performance and contract management of all outsourced facilities maintenance services.
2. Management and co-ordination of Subcontractors.
3. Review and report on current utility performance and implement continuous improvement projects and initiatives where opportunities are identified.
4. Ensure collaboration with other departments and stakeholders, to prioritise maintenance activities and minimise disruptions to production schedules.
3. Equipment
1. Work with the wider Equipment and Maintenance teams to develop and implement effective reliability and preventative maintenance strategies.
2. Continuously strive to review opportunities to improve efficiencies and capability in equipment.
4. Management Systems
1. Proactively use maintenance management systems to analyse and report activities e.g. work order tracking, scheduling, and inventory management.
2. Analyse data from the software to generate reports, identify trends, and make informed decisions on maintenance strategies.
5. Sustainability
1. Co-ordination of Sustainability / Energy initiatives on site while maintaining compliance with ISO 50001.
2. Partner with functional colleagues, collaborating to help them identify and understand emerging best practices and working directly to integrate into existing processes.
6. Project and Capital Management
1. Manage all capital expenditure projects within budget.
2. Project management of building and infrastructure upgrades in conjunction with 3rd party contractors.
3. Develop and manage a strategic pipeline of capital investments to meet our transformation goals.
4. Lead and direct the capital management process including development and approval of the capital.
5. Manage effective and timely reporting of capital management metrics.
Qualifications:
A minimum of a Degree level qualification in an appropriate field.
Strong relevant experience working to deliver sustainability programmes with experience preferably across nature themes, and additional experience in climate and/or social sustainability.
Familiarity with sustainability standards, global best practice and reporting frameworks.
Comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritising to meet requirements.
