Engineering Technician Role Overview
The Engineering Technician will support Design Engineers in all aspects of the design, characterisation, and release of RF & Microwave Components.
Main Responsibilities:
* Perform prototype and pre-production testing of RF & Microwave components.
* Conduct temperature testing on RF and Microwave components.
* Accurately record, document, and file test results for internal and customer use.
* Maintain the Engineering lab, including consumable purchases, repairs, and general tidiness.
* Assist with New Product Introduction and other engineering queries.
* Source materials for new designs.
Key Requirements:
* Proven understanding and working knowledge of RF test equipment such as Network Analysers, Spectrum Analysers, and Generators is essential.
* Familiarity with RF concepts.
* Excellent soldering skills.
* Proficiency in computer applications.
* Strong planning, organisational, and prioritisation skills.
* Demonstrated deadline and detail orientation.
* Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
* Able to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Diploma in Electronic Engineering or equivalent qualification.
* At least 3 years of experience in industry.
